Sessions, save and resume

A Cloudgrad computer is a Vercel Sandbox: a Firecracker microVM with its own kernel, filesystem and network.

Lifecycle

STARTtemplate + repo~10 sRUNNINGmetered per secondsave and stopSAVEDdisk snapshot, freeDELETEDdisk removedresume: new session, same disk

Session time

A session runs for up to 5 hours, or until your credit runs out if that comes first. The app shows the time left on each running computer and the exact end in UTC. Press +1 hour to extend a running session when your credit covers it. Once a session ends, the disk is saved and the computer waits for Resume.

Save and stop

Save and stop snapshots the whole disk and stops billing at once. Resume boots a fresh session from that snapshot in a few seconds: repos, agent logins, shell history and installed packages are all there. Running processes do not survive a stop, so restart your agents after a resume. Delete removes the computer and its snapshot.
